Weld Tech was founded as a sole proprietorship by Tichaona Mhuriro, operating from his parents’ backyard in Zengeza 2.

Initial team: Tichaona and Gift Mutuvha (welder).

Steel dragged by hand from Chikwanha market; welding machine borrowed when needed.

Core products: garden tools, car ports, burglar bars, gates, and scotch carts.

First big client: Farm & City Centre (Wynne Street branch), later expanded to other branches.

Supplied tools to Randall Brothers in Ardbennie.

Introduced wrought iron furniture manufacturing.

Hired pick-up trucks for deliveries.
